°1 package puff pastry - thawed.

°An 8 oz block. Cream cheese – at room temperature.

°1/3 Cup. Granulated sugar.

°1 teaspoon. Vanilla extract.

°1/3 Cup. Powdered sugar.

°1½ teaspoons Whole milk.

°A whole beaten egg.

°1 teaspoon. Water.


1st step

Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper and increase the oven temperature to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2nd stage

Combine room temperature cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl using a mixer until incorporated.

3rd stage

Unfold the sheets of dough and cut them into nine squares. Proceed with the second sheet in the same way.

4th step

Place the cream cheese mixture in the center of each of the 18 squares after dividing it evenly between the squares.

5th stage

Fold in half over the cream cheese, then bring the two opposite corners to meet in the center and pinch the seam shut. Continue in this manner with all Danes.

6th stage

Place on the baking sheet, then use the egg wash to brush the top of the dough. bake 18 to 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown and crispy.

7th stage

Once baked, pastries should be left to cool.

8th step

Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until a thick glaze forms. When cool, sprinkle over pastries, then serve.
